Watermelon Mint Frosé Mocktail (Print Page)

Frozen watermelon and strawberries blended with chilled rosé, lime, and mint into a bright, alcohol-free summer slush.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
02 - 1 cup strawberries, hulled and frozen

→ Liquids

03 - 1 cup non-alcoholic rosé or pink grape juice, chilled
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

→ Fresh Herbs

05 - 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish

→ Sweetener (optional)

06 - 1–2 tablespoons agave syrup (or honey), to taste

# Directions:

01 - Cut watermelon into uniform 1–2 cm cubes and hull strawberries; spread in a single layer on a tray and freeze at least 4 hours or overnight until solid.
02 - Place frozen watermelon and strawberries in a high-speed blender with chilled non-alcoholic rosé (or pink grape juice), lime juice, mint leaves and chosen sweetener.
03 - Pulse on medium-high then blend continuously until the mixture is smooth and slushy, scraping down the sides as needed; add an extra splash of juice if too thick.
04 - Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity, adding more agave or lime juice to balance the flavors.
05 - Divide the frosé among chilled glasses, garnish with mint leaves and serve immediately to preserve the slushy texture.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • No one ever guesses it’s booze-free, so you can serve it at any gathering without worrying.
  • The combination of frozen watermelon and strawberries turns every glass into a naturally sweet, icy treat worth craving on repeat.
02 -
  • Once I forgot to freeze the fruit ahead and ended up with a watery, un-slushy frosé—don’t skip this step.
  • Adding all the juice at once can make the blend too thin; start with less and add more if needed.
03 -
  • If the fruit is especially watery, toss in a few extra frozen berries to keep it thick and spoonable.
  • Lightly bruising the mint leaves before blending releases more essential oils and really perks up the aroma.
